We are a local community group based in the village of Mottram in Longdendale.
The main aims of our group are to empower local people to maintain and enhance the area for the benefit of the whole community it represents and to provide
opportunities to bring the community together to improve its environment.
The group is a voluntary body which will act in good faith towards its community and will have a sense of community and social cohesion.
Our key services are to:
Organise local clean ups, create, improve and maintain local shared spaces and community assets.
Promote a more environmentally conscious community.
Liaise with the local authority and any other stakeholders in pursuit of our aims.
Encourage and facilitate community action and cohesion.
Empower the local community by providing resources and opportunities to become involved.
Organise and promote local events that fulfil the aims of the group.
The preservation and promotion of the conservation area, article 4 and protected green spaces within the village.
