Sunday Crafternoons

Our social craft session runs on the second Sunday of the month at Mottram Community Centre between 1:30 and 4pm. Refreshments are provided and usually include some home-made cake or biscuits with a vegan option available.

It's a bring your own craft afternoon, so bring whatever you're working on and come down for a chat, tea and cake. It's not restricted to knitting and crochet, anything you can bring along easily will do!

If you're unsure, come along. We will have yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks going spare if you would simply like to have a go and don't know where to start.

We are planning to make some items for charity and welcome suggestions for charities we can contribute to.

We ask for a £3 donation for each session to help with the running costs.

There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.

Community Litter Picks

We are part of the Tameside Litter Hub Network and have our own litter hub in the village.

We organise regular litter picks, usually on the last Sunday of the month, between 2pm and 4pm.

We also arrange midweek evening litter picks between April and September when there is enough light in the evenings.

We are always looking for people to come and help to improve the local environment, so please come and join in. All of the equipment is provided for you.

You can also borrow the equipment at any time if you would like to do your own pick at a time that suits you. Contact us on Facebook for details.

The meeting point is outside Mottram Community Centre on Church Brow, Mottram SK14 6JJ.
